There are three big garment projects, printable patterns, great information, and advanced garment-felting techniques! Tens of hours of videos, PDF format instructions with pictures and descriptions of EVERY SMALL STEP!
This comprehensive course is for experienced felters who have already made simple garments.
The Vest with large collar or hood options project is an excellent warm-up for the two following elaborate garments of the course. You will learn a fun, alternative way to make vests (or capes and ponchos if you wish) with hoods of any desired shape! This project focuses on the hood, armholes, and edges.
The Boucle Jacket is a close-fitting but comfy garment with a small collar and attached sleeves. You will learn the particular nuances of sleeve attachment during the felting process. The pattern is for a hip-length garment, a flattering length that would not cover the bottom. This pattern is drafted considering the layout technique that allows silhouette adjustments if required.
The third project is a roomy, cozy garment with a large, soft collar and kimono sleeves.
This project focuses on large and functional inset pockets that will not stretch out the fronts or protrude awkwardly. These pockets look pretty and professionally done.
All the patterns are included (printable) and come in sizes XS to XXL, with two different SRs (for more experienced or less experienced felters).
 
Every week, participants will receive a new online learning package: an introduction, the whys and how-tos, step-by-step instructions with high-quality photographs, and video tutorials. You can post your work in progress in the virtual class discussion room and communicate with other students. I will answer your questions in the chat weekly, as soon as possible (not in real-time).
 
NEW! I will run a one or two-hour Zoom video session at your request. We will discuss a time that is convenient for most of the class participants and schedule our Zoom sessions at the beginning of the course. The video chats will be recorded and available to those unable to attend on time.
 
The course will require up to 8 hours of studio work and two hours of live Zoom sessions (optional) per week; the amount of information would fit into 12 days of in-studio workshops. You will receive all the class materials and tutorials in PDF format, ready to upload to your computer. The videos are not to be downloaded; they will remain accessible for 1 year. Your access to the course lessons and chat on the Ruzuku platform will remain open as long as I continue teaching and can pay for their services. I've used this platform to teach my courses since 2016 and do not plan to quit.

Course Plan
Week 1
As usual, we will begin our lessons with preparations. Even though our projects are geared towards more experienced felters, a warm-up to refresh our knowledge will help us in the coming weeks. The tasks of the first week will include:
- taking a few measurements to get a pattern of the correct size;
- Instructions for printing the patterns on an average printer; it would be ideal if everyone could print out the pattern (for week 2) sometime this week, so that fewer difficulties or similar questions arise during the printing of the rest of the patterns.
- selecting materials (by color and suitability) and creating samples, following my instructions. We will choose the most successful and suitable ones for our projects.

Weeks 2-3
A vest with a hood or a large collar option. The project for these two weeks is an excellent warm-up for the  complex garments of the following weeks. Weeks 4-7
A loose-fitting jacket with kimono sleeves, an oversized collar, and inset pockets. This project focuses on the collar, inset pockets, and edges.

Weeks 8-10
A close-fitting coat with attached sleeves. This project focuses on the shape of the close-fitting garment, shoulders, collar, and the attachment of sleeves.
